ABSTRACT
Surprisingly, the three musketeers and the twelve cranial nerve have at least one thing in common: their numbering is wrong. Indeed, every one knows that the three musketeers (Athos, Aramis and Porthos) were, in reality, four in number and since 1914 everyone should know that the human cranial nerves are not twelve, but thirteen in number.
