ABSTRACT
In 2014, we devoted a column to the Kanashibari phenomenon (Olry & Haines, 2014). The present article takes us again to the “Land of the Rising Sun,” this time to analyze the roots of a strange Japanese term, moyamoya, coined some decades ago to refer to a hitherto undescribed cerebral vascular pathology.
