ABSTRACT
It is stating the obvious to say that neuroanatomy has not yet given away all of its secrets. However, was it necessary to lay stress on this fact even in the terminology itself? It is nevertheless what happened in the last centuries, when some anatomists discovered or named structures, such as the vagus nerve, the zona incerta, the nucleus ambiguus, and the nucleus raphes obscurus.
