ABSTRACT
The attack routes are constantly changing, mirroring the new technologies developed. The different politically motivated groups explore online opportunities while enhancing their capabilities and capabilities for attacking. At present, the frequency and the impact of these attacks are increasing, and it is becoming difficult to prevent, detect, and manage the constant flow of attacks. Cyberspace creates a route for conducting attacks from a distance that is incomparable to offline attacks. The attackers are becoming innovative in how they deploy different means and methods. Therefore, this chapter focuses on defining key elements related to online attacks and methods to comprehend how the actors operate.
