ABSTRACT
Building on the theoretical work from Chapter 8, this chapter summarizes and elaborates SCT’s phases of system development. We describe in more detail how, by operationally defining each phase as a predictable force field of driving and restraining forces, our phase model provides a guide to practice. We also elaborate on how, in our practice, we have integrated our new role-systems map with our phases of system development and present examples of using the role-systems map to guide our work in each phase of system development.
