ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the new emphases in our practice that have come from applying our recent developments in our theory (introduced in Chapter 3 and elaborated in Chapter 4). Here we discuss how our theory and practice with role-systems can be useful in everyday life. We begin with describing how we have used our new illustrations as a map to locate the contexts of our roles. Using this map has also enabled us to identify our role-systems and explore the territory of ourselves and our groups in new ways that deepened our understanding of roles and role locks. We also introduce here how, with isomorphy, our person-as-a-system map can also be understood more generically as a role-systems map that can be applied in any context.
