ABSTRACT

This chapter is empirical in nature and its aim is to identify the strategies of companies operating in Poland, the conditions for choosing them, and the outcomes achieved. The strategic choices of the surveyed companies are presented first, with a particular emphasis on the perception of the strategy, the approach behind its creation, and its implementation. Against this background, the antecedents and the performance of ambidextrous strategies are discussed. Next, the cause-and-effect relationships between the influence of particular antecedents on the choice of strategy and the performance achieved were identified in order to develop a model for choosing ambidexterity as the development path for a company, including the relevant managerial implications.
