ABSTRACT
This chapter reflects on the previous analyses to explore how indigenous struggles for self-determination oblige us to rethink current dominant ideas of political encounters, development paths, and constitutional frameworks. By exploring the local and global dynamics of indigenous politics, the meaning of Buen vivir, and the decolonization of constitutionalism, it proposes new paths for understanding and deepening the study of indigenous self-determination.
