ABSTRACT
Work distribution analysis identifies the amount of time devoted by each member of a work unit to various tasks. This analytic tool provides the manager a means of checking the alignment of resource allocations with the unit’s work priorities, the alignment of employee skills with assigned tasks, the degree of specialization (too little or too much), and backup capabilities within the work unit to accommodate employee absences.
