ABSTRACT
Often it is impractical to examine every case to assess the adequacy of service delivery or to survey every citizen to determine the level of community satisfaction. The use of sampling is a practical alternative, but it is important to draw the sample properly and to understand the level of accuracy—vis-à-vis examining or surveying the entire population—that a given sample is likely to yield.
