In order to prevent the outflow of critical quality defects, it is important to standardize the procedure for controlling such change points and implement it honestly and consistently. At the time of defect outflow to a customer or market, the people reconfirmed the relevant Change-Point Control Sheet to find out the cause and what is to be done as a preventive measure against recurrence, and implemented the measure. It is important to continue to honestly implement the zero defect outflow activities while carefully watching and remedying deficiencies of the existing change-point control system. Unless change-point control is performed thoroughly, outflow of serious defects to the market may continue to occur several times every year. Yet, change-point control is based on the accumulation of steady daily efforts, so it is difficult to maintain it thoroughly without top-down instruction and continuous guidance.
