ABSTRACT
To facilitate the discussion, the empirical data have been listed in Appendix 2. The reader can consult the tables containing the raw data there; reference to them is only made when it is in the interest of clarity. In general the data for each hypothesis are discussed separately, first of all across the poems used in the experiments generally. The results for separate poems or for different subgroups will then follow.
