ABSTRACT
When we are ready, we can act. That requires a decision – an act of will that commits us to the endeavour. Of course, commitment does not guarantee success – we sometimes commit to a venture that eventually fails – but commitment calls forth our very best, even at the risk of loss, injury, or death. When we are committed, it is as if we are naked before God. Our commitment moves our starting point – indeed, it changes the world.
