ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 addresses the challenge of the conceptualisation of culture. It begins with the exploration of Chinese culture, then reviews the situation of culture teaching in TCFL, and, finally, addresses the question of how culture can best be conceptualised for (language) teaching purposes evidenced by the data of the researcher’s clip analysis.
