ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses Housing, Land and Property (HLP) rights as they are stipulated in the human rights regime, followed by a discussion of land and property loss, including land grabbing, in various contexts of violent conflict, such as Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guatemala and Colombia. It presents examples of peace processes and transitional justice mechanisms in specific contexts which have attempted to address land issues.
