ABSTRACT

Pink period contemplation could include a Public Administration (PA) shift toward the aesthetic, in the context of justification no less than in that of discovery. As for theorizing, the pink stage calls the author to shift more firmly toward poetry. The pink period in him sees PA theorizing-as-it-should-be (not the traditional version) as an artistic or poetic activity, where the intended benefits-for-PA are limited to space clearing for PA practice to turn more resolutely toward the truly human. The author have chosen “pink” in recognition of the phrase “in the pink.” In his present pink period, the author want to focus on PA theorizing as art or poetry, accepting the irrelevance of traditional PA Theory and of associated practitioner micro concerns. The pink period cannot be constrained by the traditional disciplinary boundaries of PA, he want to stress, any more than it could in the green period.
