ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses a number of aspects that will help in reflecting on students as a learner, facilitate student's preparation and boost student's confidence. Juggling relationships, home, work, a social life and study will probably be the biggest challenge you ever face, but you will relish the feeling of satisfaction when you finally graduate. By planning and organising student's activities, coopting the assistance of those around you and keeping an eye out for stress indicators, you will be better able to study productively without losing too much of students in the process. Choosing to study part time usually means choosing to deal with an extra role and an extra workload. Balancing everything gets to be a tricky series of manoeuvres. It is important, therefore, to recruit the assistance of student's partner and family. This will mean explaining student's decision to ensure that student's studies and their value to you are understood and respected.
