ABSTRACT

This focuses on the methods of work with actors that Joan Littlewood developed in her early years as a director, making use of the influence of Stanislavski, Laban, and other European innovators but bringing her own inventiveness strongly into the mix. It aims to recreate the content and atmosphere of a rehearsal with Joan Littlewood and includes interviews with Murry Melvin, Dudley Sutton, and Peter Rankin.
