ABSTRACT
Being an assistant with the RSC; running a Fringe Theatre, the Soho Theatre (1984–88) and working with new writers. Running a Repertory theatre as Artistic Director of Greenwich (1988–89) including long-running battles with its Board; the move into television direction. Writers at the Soho Poly include Tony Marchant, David Spencer, Ayshe Raif, Gillian Richmond, Pam Gems, Melissa Murray, and Barrie Keeffe; playwrights in the 1980s.
