ABSTRACT
So far, we have seen a Thales who sets out to grapple with apparently intractable intellectual puzzles. On several occasions, he overcame the difficulties to obtain unexpected and even exciting results. But he knew the limits of his humanity (and a lot of what is attributed to him comes from the realms of fantasy).
