ABSTRACT
There will be many sources to help the people study the current operating environment in an area of operations; one of the best is talking to other security companies working in the area. Local military or police might share information with the people also, such as tactics and techniques used in the most recent incidents that are not available to the general public. Non-government organizations operating in the area usually have very good local intelligence since they operate directly with the locals they are providing support for. Internal considerations are the areas of concern in the client’s life/work that the people, as a security detail, will require to have some discussion with the client. Understanding how they plan and what they need to accomplish their mission will give the people as the security provider indicators to look for during their proactive phase of security, so the people will know when someone is planning something and what they need to avoid.
