ABSTRACT

This chapter is about using legal English for marketing yourself and your law firm on social media.

The first part introduces how lawyers use social media. The second part looks at setting up a profile on different social media platforms, using SEO, and building your network. The third part looks at ways to engage with your connections and includes practical activities to stay active on social media. It first looks at simple engagement techniques, such as writing short posts and commenting on content. It then looks at the more advanced engagement techniques of creating your own content, including podcast episodes and blog posts. The chapter ends with an exercise to plan your social media strategy.
