ABSTRACT

Chapter 6 outlines key online assessment practices and techniques that instructors should consider when evaluating their students’ active and experiential learning activities in online courses. The ways in which instructors can align active and experiential learning activities with assessment methods include developing specific learning outcomes that measures student achievement or mastery of competencies. The key topics in Chapter 6 highlight competency-based learning, micro-credentials, and strategies on how to establish and check academic integrity for online assessments.
