ABSTRACT

A meditation on the nature of Imagination in cognitive science terms, with then specific tactical methods for enriching the key sub-skills of Alertness (to Language, to Culture, to Physical and Psychological Contexts), Memory (this reinforces the Listening Memory / oral-audio elements of Part 4), and the capacity for and enjoyment of Surprise. The goal of the section is to more practically and precisely understand Imagination (so often airily defined or simply assumed), and to pin down essential component practices that can fire greater flexibility of mind and creative performance.
