ABSTRACT
Much of what is discussed regarding the law of contract refers to rights and responsibilities of the parties to the contract. However, contracts, and the parties that enter into them, do not exist in a vacuum, and therefore the law of contract must also take into account the fact that there are external factors that affect contracts, and vice versa: that contracts will have an effect upon persons who are not parties to the contract.
