ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the summary of the empirical findings and its implications for development policy. The results emanating from our detailed empirical analysis unambiguously point to the need to eliminate the bias associated with the provision of credit to women-led and SC/ST-owned businesses so as to bridge the performance gap. An important consideration while prescribing policies which influence the growth trajectory of small firms is to understand the specific context in which these firms operate.
