ABSTRACT
Finding the weirdness comes in the middle of the seven steps because it’s the most important step, the core of the method. It’s also the most difficult step to standardize as a critical procedure, because weirdness isn’t something that can be predicted. Instead, it arrives unexpectedly. If I gave you a definition of what weirdness is, all the things you might find that fitted the definition would no longer really be weird when you found them—precisely because they fit. As a category of the uncategorizable, weirdness can’t really be defined.
