ABSTRACT
Despite its severe impacts on densely populated cities across the world, the urban aspects of Covid-19 remain relatively underexplored. This chapter provides a broad overview of the topics that will be covered throughout the course of the book. It will also give a broad introduction to our case study on Singapore, focusing in particular on its system of governance and approach to urban planning.
