ABSTRACT
Chapter 6 explores influences on and measures of fertility. High fertility is exemplified by a case study of Niger, followed by consideration of Thailand's recent fertility transition. We end by exploring below replacement level fertility, using South Korea as an example of a country with extremely low fertility.
