ABSTRACT

Chapter 10 contains a potential way forward in addressing one of the most significant complications for those wishing to use the concepts in this book – the difficulty of measuring the often-qualitative benefits of increasing engagement and reducing resistance. One of the primary claims of this book is that often less measurable but mostly more important aspects, such as engaging students emotively, should be the focus, in terms of priority, for instructors. The set of terms in this chapter, and the metric introduced in formulaic format, provides one potential means to measure the efficacy and success of engaging employee-learners using the methods and strategies discussed in this book.
