ABSTRACT

From the curricula in our schools to the statues in our squares to the flags in our skies, we are constantly confronted with evidence that history is not past but perennial. This chapter limns how to lead your community, workplace, or institution through the process of navigating fraught but crucial issues such as celebration, reparation, and other forms of reckoning, for unless the past is faced with moral courage, the present will remain dystopian.
