ABSTRACT
Prostate cancer is the most common solid tumor in men and the second leading cause of death in men in the United States. Most men with this cancer do not die from it; there are an estimated 3 million men in the US living after a diagnosis of prostate cancer. The 5-year survival rate for men with localized prostate cancer is almost 100%. Other cancers commonly affecting men include colorectal cancer and testicular cancer.
