ABSTRACT
Post-diagnosis, the author began to anonymously blog and post on social media about being autistic. In beginning, setting up blog and those anonymous social media accounts was effectively boarding that metaphorical train and heading towards the stops of awareness and understanding. The segments in this chapter of the book are essentially the online diary the author kept of the first few weeks post-identification. The original essence and tone of these anonymously posted blogs have been retained however uncomfortable. Declaration of autism is not declaring one's identity, but just the belonging to a group of people who share common ground, not through merit, or decision, but through sheer chance of birth. Then, the chapter explains about the Sally Anne test used to see if children have developed theory of mind: the ability to put oneself into another’s shoes. People with Asperger’s tend to pass the Sally Anne Test, but they do it by relying on their logic unlike others.
