At the start of this book, I explained that my intentions for neatness, clarity and objectivity in my reporting of experience ultimately failed. Although the failures are many, the turning point for me was Chapter 13, the point at which I realised that my past is in my present. From here on in, I am just presenting you with what I have got. Here is what I know. I am no better positioned to work out what it means than you are. If anything, you are better placed. This chapter begins just before I got married for the second time and explores the impact of interoception on my relationships. The subsequent chapters (Chapter 18 to Chapter 20) tell you about my emotional landscape, my pregnancy and my special interest.
