ABSTRACT

Women must be sufficiently included in the economy and political process for a nation to progress. Accordingly, researchers prioritize the education and development of women. It is widely agreed that empowerment is necessary for every society, in the social, economic, educational, religious, and political arenas, to plan for women to speak up, recognize their status, and speak out against sexism. It can also be asked how rural women do social practices, including in Bangladesh, in social, political, cultural, and economic sectors. This chapter provides an overview of women’s condition in Bangladesh’s history, government, economy, and politics. It has been argued that women in various sectors across the country have made enormous strides, but they need to go a long way to achieve the required degree of satisfaction to impact the political processes in different sectors.
