ABSTRACT

The study examines a 66-year-old former joiner with corticobasal degeneration. The chapter presents key facts and figures on corticobasal degeneration and discusses the background, clinical symptoms, daily activities and medication of the adult featured in the study. Communication and cognition are examined. Language is addressed in terms of speech intelligibility, morphology and syntax, vocabulary and semantics, and pragmatics and discourse. The chapter concludes with annotated suggestions for further reading, questions and answers.
