ABSTRACT

The study examines a 72-year-old former computer manager with progressive supranuclear palsy. The chapter presents key facts and figures on progressive supranuclear palsy and discusses the background, clinical symptoms, daily activities and medication of the adult featured in the study. Communication and cognition are examined. Language is addressed in terms of speech intelligibility, morphology and syntax, vocabulary and semantics, and pragmatics and discourse. The chapter concludes with annotated suggestions for further reading, questions and answers.
