ABSTRACT
Readers will gain practical advice about the everyday work practices that are employed by successful documentary editors to improve their efficiency. Specific items addressed include taking regular breaks, achieving focus by eliminating distractions, duplicating and archiving sequences, and the use of “scraps” sequences and disabled alternate shots. Additionally, this chapter contains detailed advice on making the director/editor collaboration more productive.
