ABSTRACT

What makes it safe to be seen, and therefore proceed to succeed, is the ability to steer the mind through the often turbulent sea of the five key emotions that stop success and return our focus, gently and relentlessly, to that which we choose to create. What is so powerful about the five antidotes is that they result in immediate reorientation. They ground us in the reality of the present and physical moment, the only locale from which we may effectively negotiate life in order to realize our goals. The five emotions and their antidotes are Shame/Separation (separation as opposed to unconsciously yet willingly ingesting the malevolence of others, of a culture, and of a predator or sadist, and identifying it as the self), Grandiosity/Humility, Envy/Enoughness, Boredom/Becoming, and Fear/Pause. For each emotion and its antidote, a brief recap of the emotion/antidote’s dynamic and reorienting impact is provided.
