ABSTRACT

This section shows how each subsequent chapter will contain questions to be answered by the reader through journaling or for the practitioner to use as verbal prompts during sessions. The sections outlined are Part 1: Cracking the Code of Resistance; Part 2: Deep Dive into the Big Five, which includes chapters on each of the primary emotions described in the book as follows: Shame, Grandiosity, Envy, Boredom, and Fear; and Part 3: What’s Possible from Here, which includes ‘The Five Emotions Cheat Sheet’ and additional tools including exercises designed to allow the reader to gain greater mental command over, and separation from, the problematic thinking behind our experiences of the Big Five. The section ‘In Conclusion’ will explore the nature of progress and professional actualization in light of the reader’s new understanding of the five emotions that stop success.
