ABSTRACT

Prior to the analysis of the empirical cases, the research model must be explained as to guide the analysis itself. The book works with the division of political territoriality into three aspects – security, economy, and identity. This helps us to capture all the factors tied to the concept of territoriality and analyze them in selected cases. These three categories are then subdivided into more factors to uncover concrete features that can be studied. All three aspects will divide the actors into non-territorial, semi-territorial, and non-territorial groups. They will also help us clearly discover, what part of groups´ activities are more closely related to territory and where the limits of territorial behavior are.
