ABSTRACT
The CoATT model of therapeutic theatre activates a postmodern social constructivist definition of recovery that encompasses a range of diagnoses and addictions, such as eating disorders, substance abuse disorder, chronic and persistent mental illnesses, and aphasia. This chapter operationalizes key terms in the model. The authors discuss the landscape of therapeutic theatre, casting and production, and vocabulary for research.
