Who were the people in your neighborhood?

Changes in the Heights neighborhoods resulted in many established residents leaving their communities. These moves were motivated by drug use and deaths, increased violent crime, and reduced feelings of safety. Interestingly, movers did not wholly sever social ties as many moved around the corner to neighboring suburban communities. This chapter describes data from residents who suggest the Heights in a dying community.
