ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a methodological and theoretical framework for examining how adults with learning disabilities are supported to use technologies. It will outline the aims and methods of six studies that will be used across the book to examine the past and present practices that support adults with learning disabilities to access and use technologies. It will also introduce the positive risk-taking framework and explain how it might contribute to an analysis of past and present support practices.
