ABSTRACT

Chapter 13 introduces learners to some of the core tools and technologies of content strategy, including desktop publishing, collaboration tools, authoring tools, content management systems (CMSs), component-based content management systems (CCMSs), and application programming interfaces (APIs). Using Hovde & Renguette’s (2017) technological literacy framework, each technology is explored within the context of a specific type of content project so that readers can evaluate its function and use within a specific context, as well as its place within the broader content strategy landscape.
