The conclusion provides a summary overview of the content covered in the volume, taking particular interest in themes of the developing agency of queens and institutionalisation of queenship over the period. In so doing, it surveys the definitional aspects of queenship, its life cycles and evolving prerogatives, and the rights, identities, and legacies of tenth-century England’s most notable royal women.
