ABSTRACT
Issues of equity and social justice should be at the forefront of every effective educator’s mind. Students don’t all have the same background, nor do they have the same needs, and those backgrounds and needs don’t automatically sync with our own simply because we share a classroom. Our job is to educate all of our students, not just those whose background and place in this world we understand or identify with.
