ABSTRACT

Building on our review of implementation methodologies in Chapter 10, we fashion these insights into a practical set of tools and processes to identify goals worth pursing; design activities with a high probability of impact. And then to implement, evaluate, iterate, and scale. Our proposed approach is called Leaning to GOLD. The GOLD part (goal hunting, opportunity searching, liftoff, double back/double up) is about moving forward through design space to iteratively implement new ventures. The Lean part is about moving backwards and identifying overengineered processes to de-implement before then evaluating the impact and repeating the process. The chapter contains a range of practical tools and templates.
