ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the decade between 54 and 64, which is called ‘Ageing’. Life events at this stage can include the death of a parent, children leaving home, the empty nest syndrome and impending or actual retirement. All of these can exert a stress on relationships, and couples can drift apart and lose interest sexually. Sex and ageing is becoming more of a common topic these days, and SGT has much advice and guidance to offer.
