ABSTRACT

This chapter traces Willem Poppeliers’ professional development as a therapist and explores Bioenergetics and sexuality; the bioenergetic work of Alexander Lowen; the influence of Postural Integration and Energetic Integration on Sexual Grounding; and Poppeliers’ collaboration with Jack Painter and the breakup of their relationship. It also features the development of the coursework which forms the work which Poppeliers was to develop in the field of body-centred psychosexual therapy.
